How Users Rate Cannabis

Whether you live in a place where cannabis is legal or illegal, you’ve certainly come across mediocre quality cannabis. You don’t have to mess around with such low quality – that is a bygone era. Nowadays, you can find the best quality cannabis at affordable prices that’ll give you the sensation you desire. So, how do you go about it?

There are numerous factors that indicate high-quality cannabis and it’ll help you rate them.

Smell

High-quality cannabis has a unique and pungent smell like no other. It can range from a sweet to diesel-like earthy smell due to the rich terpene content. Consequently, if the cannabis has no smell or produces a smell like alfalfa or hay, its an indication of a poorly grown or sub-par cannabis.

If it possesses rich chocolate or coffee-like scent, its cause of the high content of indica strain. Acidic citrus smells are typical of Sativa. And if the cannabis is a hybrid, it can possess a combination of both these types of smell. The richer and better the quality of cannabis, the stronger the smell will be.

If it has no smell, it’s better that you avoid them.

Color

If you want high-quality cannabis, it must be green in color and not brown. Shade range can be darker forest greens too much lighter frosty greens from purple to rosy or golden undertones. But the important factor is whether or not the bud looks healthy.

It’s quite typical for healthy cannabis buds to have blue, pink, and purple hints. However, if the bud is mostly yellow, tan, brown, or red, it’s probably from an unhealthy plant.

If the bud is bleached white, it’s due to light burn as a result of the plant being exposed to extremely high-intensity light. If you want the best quality plants, keep in mind these colors and avoid them if you want the best vaping or smoking experience.

Molds and Pests

This is quite obvious; quality cannabis should not have pests or molds in any form. However, these can be quite common if you purchase cannabis from the black market. Its recommended that you purchase only from the legal market.

Depending on the specific fungal pests, mold can manifest itself as a grey fuzzy mold or white, powdery mildew. Insects such as aphids, thrips, gnats, and mites can leave behind eggs, fecal matter, and even dead comrades – that’s gross! If your bud has any of this, please stay away.

Bud Structure

Generally, indica buds are dense and tight whereas Sativa buds are more fluffy and light. But in situations where indica buds have been grown carelessly, they can often have a similar structure to Sativa buds with visible, open, and incomplete stems. In the case of hybrid strains, they inhibit the structural traits of both Sativa and indica buds.

Generally, indica buds are covered in fewer pistils than their Sativa counterparts. The pistils should be evenly distributed across the bud and not concentrated only in some areas.

Trim

After their harvest, quality cannabis buds must be properly trimmed to remove the leaves surrounding the area. Hand trimmed cannabis is of much better quality than machine trimmed ones.

The disadvantage with machines is that the buds may get mangled and the delicate trichomes they possess can be disrupted. If it has excessive buds, it’s an indication of poor quality. If the buds have been machine trimmed or possess excessive buds, it’ll be of poor quality and indicates rushed cultivation methods.

Conclusion:

Cannabis is not just a momentary experience but actually possesses many health benefits that can boost your overall well being. However, due to the rapid legalization across the globe, there has been a huge surge in mediocre quality or poorly and carelessly grown cannabis. It’s recommended that you buy from the legalized market and look out for the above feature when you purchase your next pack of cannabis.
